FAQs

1.What is Seeking Him?

Seeking Him is a 12-week Bible study focused on personal revival and deeper intimacy with God. Each chapter includes Scripture, personal reflection, interactive exercises, and a group discussion guide. Our summer sermon series will align with this study to guide our whole church into spiritual renewal.

2. When does the series begin and end?

The series begins on Thursday, June 26, and will run for 13 weeks through the summer. The first week is an introduction/overview of the study.

3. Who is this for?

Everyone at Skokie Valley—from teens to seniors—is encouraged to participate! Whether you're new to church or have been walking with Jesus for decades, this study is for you.

4. How do I participate?

You can join one of the following group options:

  • Sunday mornings, 9:45–10:45 AM (during the Sunday School hour)

  • Thursday evenings, 7:00–8:30 PM at the church

Each session will discuss that week’s lesson, based on personal study completed during the week.

5. How is the study structured?

Each week includes:

  • Five short daily devotionals for personal study

  • One group session guide for discussion during your group time

You’ll need to commit to completing the personal study each week before attending the group.

5. Is there a cost?

The Seeking Him workbook is FREE for everyone who registers and commits to going through the study with a group. Donations are welcome.

6. Do I need to register?

Yes. Registration helps us plan group sizes and ensure everyone receives a workbook.

7. Where do I register?

See Above.

8. Can I still join if I can’t attend every week?

Yes, but we strongly encourage regular attendance for the greatest spiritual growth and group connection. If you need to miss a session, you can still stay up-to-date with the personal study.

9. Is childcare provided?

Childcare is provided for the Sunday session.

10. Where can I find out more about the Seeking Him study?
